What could be better than spending the whole night with the person you like the most? Bliss but also pain can sometimes lie close together. "All Night Long" takes us on this bitter-sweet adventure, just like in an exciting movie. Elijah Salomon, Junia Bardo and Chado Evans are the main characters in this film. The beat opens the heart with its mixture of dancehall, reggaeton and Congolese vibes.
bliib starch
Elijah Salomon and Chris Obasi drop an uplifting conscious dancehall tune to give you the strength you need in darker times. The riddim bounces with a heavy kick sample and a booming synthesizer bass. The two singjays present a swiss-german ‚Mundart' dancehall tune at its finest. The track is called “Bliib starch” (Stay Strong) and it’s about the fact that everyone needs someone orsomething to get back to their strength. Tune in!
keep on rocking
In the late summer of 2022, L3exicon, the West Kingston-based artist, released the single "Jamaican". It tells about an arduous journey from Jamaica to Europe. Well, what's better on an arduous journey than the right music? This is exactly the question L3xicon asked himself and now delivers with the two remixes of the track two songs that make you nod your head instead of hanging - even if you have to wait for hours at the airports of the world. The dub mix was done by none other than John John, son of King Jammys.
L3xicon is known from his last single "Hard Ears" and as co-writer of many songs including "Shoot Out" by Mykal Rose.

Salomon
With songs like "Gib Mer Meh" ("Give me more") or "Sie Isch Wäg" (“She’s gone”), Elijah Salomon has long shown that he has the quality to write songs that are sung over several generations. Recently, he proved this again in an impressive way: when he performed his soccer song "Nüüt Chan Ois Tränne" (“Nothing can divide us”) in front of 22 000 people in a packed FC Zurich stadium and the whole stadium joined in. Elijah creates modern, timeless folk songs. This is also how he describes his music: "I want to write songs that I can still sing 30–40 years from now, without electricity and just with a guitar."
After eight years, the time has come again and Elijah Salomon will release his fourth studio album "Salomon" in late summer 2022. The album shows facets of him that you did not know so far. One is the album’s quality of being timeless – the antithesis of what you currently hear from the music industry. Instead of fast- moving trends, an overdose of autotune and endless loops, you get a work that celebrates the magic of live music, where musicians come together in a room
and make the instruments and hearts vibrate in real time. “Roots music” he calls his style, and with the album "Salomon", he goes right back to these "roots". His grandfather Marino Salomon – after whose family name he named the album – had once written him a song on paper, with the wish that he should one day sing one. Elijah was able to fulfill his wish during his lifetime; and he is now making his music accessible to even more listeners: in addition to Swiss German and English, another language is added, namely the language of his ancestors, Italian.
The album is a journey to the destinations, that Elijah Salomon experienced in the last years: be it with a rocking ska beat and a lot of "drive" through the hills and valleys of the Blue Mountains and "Through The Blues" to his spiritual homeland Jamaica. Or together with a children's choir through the "Joyful Streets" of Dakar and, accompanied by the soft sounds of the Kora, to the west coast of Africa to Gambia to the Manding Queen "Fatoumata". As a songwriter, he dives into the world of the Italian cantautore with "Il Tuo Mondo" and a lot of soul. Last but not least, his way leads him back to Switzerland, where he surprises with new music after such a long time – then, when you don't expect it. Elijah takes you on a journey through different styles and languages – all in the spirit of today's music, where it is no longer language, musical genre and origin that count, but where the focus is much more on whether the songs are touching or not.
The album will be released via One Camp Records on Friday, September 9, 2022, and will be available digitally, on CD and on vinyl.
Three O Clock
Friday, June 24, 2022 is the launch date for Elijah Salomon's new album "Salomon". In late summer 2022 it is to be released and is a potpourri of many things - languages, musical styles, nations and content. It will be a timeless album, which bristles with variety - but more about that in due course. Now the first single is just around the corner: Three O'Clock.
"Three O'Clock" is the name of the first single from the album "Salomon", which will be released in September 2022. The single is released in classic Rub-a-Dub and tells in a playful way and in best "Jamaican Patois", which pitfalls seven hours time difference can hold. Elijah tells the story of a musician who is rung out of bed every night at three in the morning by his girlfriend. His girlfriend is in Jamaica - 7 hours out of time - and has the feeling that not everything revolves around music with him. Of course, he has only a limited desire to be torn out of his sleep so early in the morning and to devote himself to a long conversation. A funny story that puts a smile on your face.
Three O'Clock" was produced by legendary producer Bobby Digital and Elia Salomon.
Music Is Life – we’ve got the vibes!
The “Music Is Life Riddim” is a profound piece of music produced by swiss producer and artist Elijah Salomon. The raw wounds of a youthful heartbreak can be felt in the original score by Elijah. Listening to Elijah’s ‘Sie Isch Wäg’ (which means ‘She Is Gone’ in swiss german) still stirs the soul more than a decade after it was first released. This timeless riddim has been resurrected by a new generation of singers who have found their own unique grooves in the sounds of this masterpiece.

Jamaican artist Sycorah blends effortlessly with the essence of the riddim. In “Tell Me How You Feel” she asks the person she fell in love with if what she is feeling is true. A personal and intimate song that makes you feel very close to the talented and upcoming artist from Waterhouse.
Ras Charmer delivers with the title track: ”Music Is Life” a song that speaks of solidarity and shows that music heals wounds and is the best medicine. The message is underlined by a beautiful video clip in the green hills of Jamaica.

With “Jah Lebt” (Jah Lives) the German crew Raggabund is chanting that “Jah” is real and alive and that we shouldn't be intimidated by anything. The music was recorded by the Swiss backing band ”The Dubby Conquerors”. “Music Is Life” indeed has come full circle because this riddim is as emotionally and sonically relevant as it ever was.

The “Music Is Life Riddim” EP will be released on December 17th 2021 on the Swiss label One Camp Records and is available on all download and streaming platforms.
NÜÜT CHAN OIS TRÄNNE
What would football be without music, without singing? Imagine a packed Maracana without hymns to the protagonists down on the pitch - exactly, that's not even possible. A Liverpool FC home game without "You'll never walk alone" during the players' run-in - simply unthinkable. And it's like that all over the world. Every team, or rather their supporters, have their own songs. It belongs to it like the cards to the referee. Elijah Salomon's heart club also has such anthems. He has been a FC Zurich supporter since he is a little boy.
The release of the anniversary film "Nie usenand gah" (We will never part) on the occasion of the club's 125th birthday, is a work that wants to reminisce about 125 years full of ups and downs. Of course, such a film, like the games in the stadium, only comes to life with the right anthem.
Elijah’s FC Zurich song ‘Nie Usenand gah’ which he released in 2019 is the namegiver of the film. Especially for the film he has now recorded a new interpretation of the song called "Nüüt chan ois tränne" (Nothing Can Divide Us) of it again. For all lovers of football and music – kick it off!
BRUCH DIN CHOPF -
ELIJAH SALOMON & JUNIA BARDO
Not losing your head in difficult times
Anyone who claims that he or she escaped the pandemic can only be serious with a twinkle in his or her eye - it was simply impossible. Elijah Salomon and Junia Bardo also felt it and - like many others in the present time - had to come to terms with it somehow. "Bruch din Chopf"(Use your head) with Junia Bardo is a song about the pandemic, which questions the whole thing a critically and should animate the listeners to just the same. Elijah asks: "Wo bringt eus das no hii, d'Welt regiert vo Pandemie" (Where is this taking us, the world is ruled by the pandemic). All the measures that are taken all over the world - is the health of the people really in the center of interest? The two singers felt the urge to talk about the things that are happening at the present time. The young, up-and-coming artist Junia Bardo lives up to the title of the song when he sings: "Sie wännd das mer hiegänd, wie sie’s gsähnd. Überlegg für mich älleige, s’hät mi niemert überrännt. Es regiert nur Selassie zeig mer de Wäg, zeig mer wohi" (they want us to surrender, to see it as they see it. i think for myself alone, no one has overrun me. Only Selassie rules, show me the way, show me where to go). He calls on people to stick together in these difficult times and not lose their heads.
The single is produced by Elijah Salomon and the One Camp crew and will be released on One Camp Records. The original as well as the dub version ("Selassie I Regiert"), which was mixed by Elijah Salomon, is available as a free download now at https://elijahch.bandcamp.com. Listen, enjoy and never stop questioning things critically!
AUGE NUR FÜR DICH
Elijah Salomon allows us to see the beauty in simplicity

Elijah Salomon, the Zurich reggae singer and songwriter was also slowed down in his plans by the Covid-pandemic. That he has not lost the "drive", however, he proved with the eponymous single in the middle of last year. Now he releases his new single "Auge Nur Für Dich" (Eyes For You Only) on June 4, 2021.

Elijah Salomon, the Swiss Reggae singer and songwriter, like most of us, has had to slow his plans due to the pandemic.
However, he proved he didn’t lose his “Drive” with his single by the same name, released in the middle of last year. Now he releases his new single "Auge Nur Für Dich" (“Eyes For You Only”) on June 4, 2021. In the year of the Covid-pandemic, seeing different faces and locations became difficult and rare. Even if one doesn’t see many and much, all of it doesn’t matter if you are gathered around the right people at the right places. Thus Elijah sings: „Ich ha Auge nur für dich, alli andere sind mer gliich“ (I only have eyes for you only, it’s all I can see”). It is already known that he’s able to write songs which touch you and this song, once again, is showing this ability. With a catchy and calm refrain this song will soon stick in your head and won’t leave you as quickly as it came and the hard times of the last year will slowly fade out and become light.

The song is produced by Lee Everton and the flowery saxophone was recorded by no other than the Jamaican Saxophonist, Dean Fraser, who has worked with greats such as Peter Tosh and Lauryn Hill.
The single is available as of June 4th, 2021 as a digital download, including a Dub version of the song.
drive
Reggae artist Elijah Salomon honors Ska with the release of “Drive” and “Ruff and Ready.” Both songs honor the festive tradition of Ska.
Released on his One Camp Records record label, the two-song offering plays on the ‘swing’ of Ska. The first song, “Drive” performed by Elijah tells the tale of a person filled with joy, happy that he is moving forward in life with nothing holding him back. Elijah sings “I change the oil and I push the car back / me full ah joy caw me deh pon track / pushing forward / nothing caan stop ….” Using the car as a metaphor, Elijah explains how positive energy can push a person forward.

The second release on the riddim comes from Mike Brooks. His song “Ruff and Ready” takes a playful look at the physique of an attractive lady and the state he must be in to handle such a woman. This song is structured in such a way that you will sing along to its repetitive lyrics!
The project has been pressed on vinyl with 200 limited edition copies. “Drive” is on side ‘A’ and “Ruff and Ready” is on side ‘B.’ Both songs were produced by Elijah Salomon and the One Camp Crew. Sonically, you will be thrilled by the prominence of the saxophone. Who else but Mr. Dean Fraser to offer this sweet Ska sound?! Additional members of this ensemble include Eric Gut (Drums), Yhonni De Miranda (Bass), Roberto Honegger (Guitar), Julio Martins (Piano), Bongo Hermann (Percussion) and Seydou and Tamara Waterloo as backing vocalists.
P.S. Does the artwork look familiar? It was created by none other than famed Jamaican Cartoonist Clovis!
