JAHRINGO is a Reggae and Dancehall artist from The Gambia in West Africa. He grew up listening and playing traditional African music. The interest in Reggae started with selling cassettes in local street markets and working with his brother who is a DJ. He got inspired by the likes of Rebellion the Recaller, Garnett Silk, Sizzla Kolonji, Elijah Salomon, Cali P, Beres Hammond. Soon he started writing and singing his own songs. 

In 2009, Jahringo relocated to Germany. Next to his successful studies to become an event technician, he started working with different music producers in Berlin, developing his craft, musical style and sound. In 2018, Jah Ringo released his first official single on the “Tapalapa Riddim” released by One Camp Records including various artists like Queen Ifrica, Exco Levi and Elijah Salomon. 

In July 2019, Jah Ringo released the song “Liberation”, which is currently in heavy rotation and was highlighted in the Gambian National News. “Fire Burn” followed in August 2019. In 2020 he released the critically acclaimed single “Good Vibez” which is well received by reggae lovers worldwide. And in 2021 he featured on the African Ninja riddim with a single call “The Root”. His debut album ‘Overstanding’ was released in summer 2023 and reached more than 1.5 million streams.
